For the table
of eight.
Querida was built for families. Halal-certified, no alcohol, mild spice, a family table that seats eight, and a kids menu that reads like a menu — not crayons-and-fries.
Why Querida works for families
Mama Lalis raised three children in Monclova on these recipes. The whole point of Mexican homestyle cooking is the table — slow-braised lamb that feeds eight, hand-folded tamales the kids can pull apart, salsas the grown-ups dial up. Pasen, por favor.
Practically: the room is 26 seats with a dedicated 8-top family table, halal-certified across the kitchen, no alcohol on the menu, mild spice levels (1-2 chiles on most dishes, salsas served on the side for adults to dial up), high chairs available, step-free entry, and stroller room.
The kids menu, briefly
- Quesadilla con queso · simple, mild, AED 28 — what every kid orders the first time
- Mini birria taco · halal lamb, mild, AED 32 — the dish that converts kids to Mexican food
- Elote · sweet corn · grilled, with butter and lime, AED 22 — the fries replacement
- Churros con chocolate · the dessert, AED 35 — share between two kids easily
- Agua fresca · jamaica or horchata, AED 18 — non-sugar-bomb drink option
